Ken is a experienced contracts manger that you really want in your corner from the beginning to the end of a contract.

His vast experience and many years of negotiation have always ended in water tight contracts which he then managers with professionalism and a high degree of ethics.

In my 15 years of working with Ken on both sides of the table I have always admired his ability to focus on the ley contractual issues early in negotiation which generally have led to better end of contract outcomes. He taught me it’s better to take your time upfront and get it right than to rush and suffer the consequences.

Amec Foster Wheeler: DRA. Infrastructure Design Manager
During my career at Amec Foster Wheeler (2006-2016), I had the pleasure of working with Ken Sparks on several Studies and Projects. Most significantly the execution of the Husab Uranium Project.

Ken’s involvement through the procurement cycle and the management of the contracts (commercial), enabled me to execute many work packages successfully.

His experience and knowledge in the construction industry provides confidence to the Project team and the Client alike.

I had the pleasure of working with Ken Sparks at Soda Ash (a R1.3 billion project comprising a 300 kt per annum soda ash plant and 650 kt per annum salt plant) in Botswana in the early 1990s.

Ken’s contribution in procurement and contract management was invaluable. Setting up the operational aspects of the supply chain to cater for this mega venture was no mean feat.

There were no precedents upon which to draw, and thinking out of the box was a fundamental requirement. He was loyal, honest, conscientious and meticulous.

As Managing Director, I had total faith in Ken Sparks.
